Certified Drive Erasure
Top choice for sustainability
Our state-of-the-art erasure suite allows us to completely wipe, test & certify pre-owned hard disk and solid state drives so they can safely be re-used with zero chance of data recovery or theft. Drives are erased using a UK government standard (HMG Infosec Standard 5). Any drives which fail the wiping/testing process, or which are unsuitable for re-use, are shredded on-site prior to recycling.
This service is offered for free alongside computer & ICT recycling. Erasure certificates are provided at no additional cost to schools, charities and business customers to assure them data has been destroyed.
Our erasure suite boasts an array of energy-efficient purpose-built PCs with a combined capacity for testing & erasing over 600 internal drives per day, located in a secure area monitored 24/7 by conventional and thermal CCTV.
For a small per-drive fee, we can assure you that your storage devices will be destroyed at our site, and will under no circumstances be re-used. We will log the serial number of every drive as it is destroyed, and this information is included with your destruction certificate. Price available by quotation.
Complete peace of mind
We are equipped to destroy hard disk and solid state drives at your site, while you watch (if you want to)! Both crushing & complete shredding options are available. Our friendly uniformed technician will arrive at your site in a van equipped with a drive shredder, drive crusher & petrol generator. They will set to work logging and crushing/shredding up to 300 drives per hour (depending on drive specification and destruction method chosen), and remove any waste once the operation is complete. Please get in touch for more information including pricing.
Ideal for large ICT departments
Organizations with obsolete drives numbering in the hundreds or thousands can hire our specialist equipment at a competitive day rate. Along with a desktop HDD/SSD crusher, we will provide a USB barcode scanner, safety gloves & goggles, waste containers, and an equipment demonstration. The desktop crusher is rated for up to 300 2.5″ drives (or 200 3.5″ drives) per hour.
We provide confidential document, CD, Floppy & Tape destruction at outstanding prices.
We can normally recycle ICT equipment from charities, schools and businesses free-of-charge. 8 in 10 of our ICT collections are completely free!
Sometimes charges apply for the disposal of hazardous wastes such as TVs and monitors, for haulage (depending on your location and the size of the collection), or for enhanced asset tracking & destruction service tiers.
When your consignment is received at the depot, our team will weigh in the waste, and check that all the expected assets have been received. Our expert technicians will remove any identifying marks, and transfer any data storage devices to a secure area pending destruction.
We assess the re-use potential of every item we receive, either as a unit or in parts. If an item cannot be re-used, we will disassemble it and send the materials to one of a handful of trusted downstream partners for recycling.
As an Environment Agency AATF, you can be confident that we will dispose of your waste safely, sustainably and compliantly.
As standard, we will attempt to destroy data digitally using the UK Government HMG IS5 Baseline protocol, free-of-charge, on any data storage device (HDD, SSD, PC, Laptop, Tablet, etc) we receive. This treatment means drives can safely be re-used — the most sustainable option. To facilitate this, we boast a state-of-the-art data erasure suite of fully air-gapped PCs, designed for energy efficiency, located in a secure cage with 24/7 CCTV monitoring. Any drives which fail the erasure process are shredded on-site.
If you require extra assurance, we offer additional service tiers at competitive prices:
- Serialized destruction paperwork
- Certified shredding (zero re-use)
- Callout drive crushing (at your site)
- Callout drive shredding (at your site)
- Portable drive crusher day-hire

We have a one-week lead time for collections in the South West, two-week for UK mainland locations, and we aim to make any collection UK wide within three weeks.
Wherever possible, we respond to all enquiries same- or next-working-day.
We’re extremely proud of our diverse fleet of liveried vehicles which allow us to take on any job, of any size, anywhere in the UK. We have articulated lorries, skip lorries, smaller 7.5T lorries, transit-sized vans, and even a little Ford KA!
For very small collections we may need to charge for haulage. We have partnered with a number of local authorities to provide kerbside collections of small electrical items, click here for more info.
Customers are also welcome to deliver electrical waste in any quantity to our Wellington depot by prior arrangement.
Absolutely! We can arrange WEEE collections from any of your UK, ROI or channel island sites. As well as servicing SMEs, we have a wealth of experience working with ICT & facilities teams from large enterprises, and will always strive to work around your schedule.
All our vehicles are tracked to monitor trip progress and driving style, and to ensure their cargo reaches its destination securely.
For smaller collections, we can only provide an approximate ETA (usually AM/PM and a date) in advance, but on the day of your collection we will send a live tracking link. It will show you an up-to-date ETA all day, and you can watch the driver’s progress on a map once they depart their previous stop.
We will always provide a data destruction certificate following consignments including sensitive information.
If your consignment contains only non-hazardous waste, we will provide a duty-of-care waste transfer note. If the consignment includes hazardous waste, a Hazardous Waste Regulations (HWR) Consignment Note must be carried alongside the waste. If you are not familiar with this document, we can provide one for you, usually for a small fee.
We aim to send all completed paperwork within one week of collection. If your collection was booked by a broker, the paperwork will be sent to them.
All our staff currently travel with hand sanitizer and wear face coverings when working indoors away from the depot. They will be careful to respect 2m+ social distancing at your site. If you have any specific infection control measures in place (such as special access times), just let us know – we are very happy to accommodate your needs.
